Arts for Learning is thrilled to be part of the Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership (DEEP) as an arts provider and project contributor for the Summer Readers~Future Leaders program and the Super Tuesday After-School Program.
We have collaborated since 2013 with the San Diego Unified School District and other local nonprofit organizations through the Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership (DEEP) to offer a research-based summer learning program to rising second and third-graders who attend schools in the Diamond Community. Summer Readers~Future Leaders is a free, full-day learning program that provides a range of enriching experiences for children who might not otherwise have them. Through its program as well as the Super Tuesday program, Arts for Learning San Diego provides arts classes (dance, visual art, music, and/or theater) linked with literacy standards and goals, as well as helping provide an environment of fun and engagement during the summer as well as in the after-school setting. The program’s success has demonstrated the power of collaborative action in pursuit of the shared goal that all children in the Diamond Community public schools will read proficiently by the end of third grade.

Organization of Distinction
Rancho Santa Fe Foundation is committed to honoring and supporting the members of the San Diego military community for their service to our nation. Through its grantmaking, The Patriots Connection (TPC) at the RSF Foundation seeks to expand the capacity of San Diego area nonprofit programs that serve active duty military and veterans. A key component of The Patriots Connection is the San Diego Directory, which is a listing of trusted and qualified Organizations of Distinction in San Diego County that are addressing the continuing needs of local military and veteran families. TPC, through extensive outreach, rigorously and thoroughly evaluates organizations on eight essential criteria to determine their effectiveness, efficiency and use of best practices. Organizations of Distinction meeting these standards are included in the San Diego Directory.
